About Football Runner

The site began with a single game: Football Runner, a fast endless runner where you sprint down the pitch and dodge whatever gets in your way. People enjoyed it, but they kept asking the same thing: what else have you got? One game, however fun, is a quick visit rather than a place to come back to.

So we grew it into a proper arcade. Today Football Runner is home to twelve free games, each built around a different football skill: the original Football Runner, plus Penalty Shootout, Free Kick Master, Goalkeeper Challenge, Corner Kick Header, Dribble Dash, Wall Volley, Tiki-Taka Passing, Football Juggling, Football Memory, Offside Call and the Football Quiz. Alongside them we write plain-English guides and a Football Basics explainer, so there is something here whether you want to play, improve or simply learn how the game works.

The twelve cover deliberately different ground rather than twelve variations on one idea. Three are about striking a ball and beating a keeper. One puts you in the gloves instead. One is pure timing on an incoming cross, one is continuous steering at speed, one is a sustained rally off a rebound wall, one is about picking the right pass before you get closed down, one is about keeping the ball off the floor, and three ask your head rather than your reflexes — including Offside Call, which hands you the assistant referee's flag and teaches the offside law by making you use it. If one of them is not for you, the next one probably is.

FootballRunner.online is managed by Rodust, a small team focused on browser based games that are easy to play on desktop, tablet and mobile. We believe a good game should be quick to start, smooth to play and enjoyable for players of all ages.

Our mission is to build browser games that are fun to play while staying simple and easy to reach. We keep improving the gameplay, the performance and the overall experience, so that anyone can drop in for a quick match and enjoy quality entertainment at any time, on any device.

We focus on games that do not need downloads or long installations. Every game is designed to launch quickly in your browser, so you spend more time playing and less time waiting. Every game here is written by hand in plain web code and drawn by the browser itself. There is no game engine, no plugin and no downloaded package, which is why the pages open almost instantly even on a slow connection, and why the same game runs sensibly on an older phone and a fast desktop alike.

Nothing launched in its final state, either. Difficulty curves get retuned based on what players tell us, and the small, specific messages are the most useful kind: "the keeper always saves my low shots" tells us far more than "it's too hard". If something feels off to you, the contact page reaches a person.

Rodust is a small team of developers and designers who enjoy building interactive browser games. We are always working on new ideas, listening to what players ask for, and looking for ways to make the site a little better. A good deal of what you see here started as a suggestion from someone who plays.

We keep things deliberately light. There are no accounts to create and no personal details to hand over. Your best scores are saved locally in your own browser, on your own device. They never leave it and they are not sent to us. Clear your browser data and they reset, which is the trade-off for a game you can start the moment the page loads.
